They say our kids grow up so fast and believe me time flies by. I'm still in shock that I took Shannon to her first day of preschool today!!!! She was excited all morning about getting to wear her "school dress" we bought. She did great, but I was a wreck. I was good until we had to leave the room. I gave her a little kiss on the cheek and told her I would see her soon, but my eyes started to tear up. I waited until I got to the car to let it out.
As I type this I still can't believe my little girl had her very first day of school! It seems like just yesterday she was born. Then she learned how to walk and then we couldn't wait for her to talk (now we can't get her to be quiet LOL). I'm thankful everyday that I get to be home with my girls. The one thing I have learned in life is "Life is short". Be grateful for all the wonderful memories you have and making new ones!
Today is an emotional day and as we also celebrate the anniversary of September 11th, I know I will never forget that day. My heart goes out to all the families affected by the events of that day.
