This is a great project for kids that will keep them busy for hours! You need to go to your local Home Depot, Lowes or any store that sells paint and pickup up some paint sample cards. They come in many different colors and sizes, just pick the ones that catch your eye and you will trim it to size later. Other items you will need include stickers, markers, ribbon, hole punch and paper trimmer (you can use scissors if you don't have a trimmer). Take your paint sample card and trim it down to the size you want your bookmark. Take your hole punch and make a hole at the top for your ribbon. Let your kids decorate the bookmark with stickers or whatever they choose. When they are done, put your ribbon through the hole and you have a one of a kind homemade bookmark! My girls love giving these to family and friends.
